Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accounts Officer to join our finance team. As an Accounts Officer, you will manage client accounts, process financial transactions, maintain accurate financial records, and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations. The ideal candidate should have strong communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain client accounts, ensuring all transactions are processed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and reconcile account statements, ensuring accuracy of all balances and entries.
  • Handle day-to-day financial transactions, including invoicing, payments, receipts, and refunds.
  • Monitor and follow up on outstanding payments and overdue accounts.
  • Assist with budgeting and financial forecasting as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with internal financial controls, procedures, and external regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in preparing financial reports and statements for management.
  • Liaise with clients, vendors, and internal teams to resolve account-related issues and queries.
  • Conduct regular account audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Provide support during audits and assist with necessary documentation.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed records of transactions, account histories, and communications.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in account management, finance, or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage).
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and accuracy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with clients, team members, and management.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of specific regulations or software relevant to the role is a plus.
