Job Purpose
Primarily responsible to oversee and manage the workshop and ensure that all tasks at hand are
completed effectively and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities: Operations
- Demonstrate Key Leadership
 - An excellent attitude towards work and demonstrating health, safety and environment and cost effectiveness awareness.
 - Ensure the safety and well-being of employees and those working around them
 - Provide reliable and timely reporting on site, personal and equipment related issues to your HOD.
 - Keep the interests of the Organization foremost in his delivery of services.
 - Workshop Management
 - Ensure your shift has the tooling and parts to complete the tasks at hand
 - Ensure information from previous shift is accurate and complete
 - Ensure all shift information is passed on to the workshop controller
 - Check the quality of work completed
 - Discuss work to be completed and get the detail
 - Ensure that the shift schedule is followed 100%
 - Liaise with the planning department on required components and backlog work
 - Complete job cards as instructed by the workshop controller
 - Lead by example
 - It is essential that you are actively involved with assisting all workshop floor personnel
 - Always set the example in Safety, Quality, Punctuality, SOPs
 - Ensure that the fellow workers are supported by your presence
 - Assist in completing FLR’s
 - Take firm and fair corrective action when required
 - Do not show any favoritism
 - Ensure compliance with company rules
 - Lead, organize and provide direction for employees to ensure outstanding performance is achieved in people performance, HSE outcomes
 - Actively always contribute to a positive teamwork environment
 - Always communicate openly and honestly
 - All other duties as assigned
 
Qualifications / Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field
 - Ability to lead people and get results through others
 - Ability to think ahead and plan
 - Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
 - Problem analysis and resolution
 - Strong customer orientation
 - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
 - Commitment to company values
 - Computer proficiency
 - Parts management system experience
 - Good interpersonal communication skills
 - Collectively utilize individual efforts of team members and integrate the talents and competencies they possess
 - Show great ability to delegate tasks to your subordinates
 - Comply with all applicable health, safety and environmental laws, regulations and statutory obligations at all times
